Country music singer Jake Owen stopped by the National Corvette Museum Thursday to see the infamous sinkhole, as well as pick up something special for himself. That special gift for him was his very own Corvette. Corvettes are made in Bowling Green, Ky. and fans can even take a tour of the plant which is near the National Corvette Museum.

In an interview with WSM-TV, Jake Owen said, "I've always been a big fan of Corvettes. I was just never at a point in my life where I could afford one. In a roundabout weird way, this is part of the history now."

Two months ago, a massive sinkhole swallowed eight classic Corvettes in the skydome area of the National Corvette Museum. The sinkhole is 40 feet across and around 30 feet deep.

All eight cars have been recovered and are currently on display as part of the general admission price to the museum. Later this year, the cars will be sent to Michigan for restoration efforts by General Motors.

For a few days, the public has been allowed to see the sinkhole upclose. Crews have stabilized the skydome area to make it possible for car enthusiasts to view it.

This weekend, the National Corvette Museum will be hosting the National Corvette Museum Bash. Dr. Jason Polk and Dr. Leslie North, also with WKU Center for Cave and Karst Studies, will be conducting a presentation on Saturday, April 26 at 3:15pm CT on the sinkhole collapse and how it happened. The presentation will be in the Museum's Conference Center.

Admission to the National Corvette Museum is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for youth ages 6-16, under 6 are free. Family are $25 if they are in the same household and active military are free. They are open every day 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. central time. For more information, be sure to check out
