Rising country superstar Jake Owen is bringing his first headlining tour to Bemidji Minn. Saturday night. The "Days of Gold" tour is in it's third stop since launching earlier this week. Owen, who scored his first No. 1 with "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" has been climbing up the charts with each release since his debut in 2006. Owen turned to country music after a freak accident while wakeboarding ended his golf career. It was then when he borrowed a neighbors guitar and hasn't looked back ever since.
Owen, who is athletic by nature seems to be slightly accident prone; most recently last summer when shattering the bones in his right ring finger, which lead to part of it eventually being cut off, this next to his previous broken collarbone in 2012 while snowboarding. Owen said “I’m just never going to stop being me … I’m just prone to this kind of (stuff). I don’t know why. I wish I wasn’t."
Jake Owen and touring mates Thomas Rhett and The Cadillac Three will perform Saturday night March 22, 7 PM at Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn. Tickets are still available at the Bob Lowth Ford Pickup Window in the Sanford Center.
