The Dolphins had money for linebackers, but not for the guy they spent the first pick on in the 2008 Draft.
Jake Long has a new home, according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Jake long has agreed to a contract with the St. Louis Rams.
This move will give Sam Bradford the kind of protection he has desparately lacked. Hopefully this will jump start Sam Bradford's production a bit.
If Long can hold up physically, it is potentially a very good move for the Rams. The Dolphins seem to be more concerned with the latter as the injuries mounted up for Jake Long. This move will more than likely cause the Dolphins to move Jonathan Martin to left tackle after a year as a right tackle.
We will just have to wait and see if that move works out for the best or if this was a mistake by the Dolphins allowing Long to walk.
