R&B singer Anita Baker almost faced jail time baker had a bench warrant out for her arrest earlier this month on charges that she failed to pay a client for work done on her Home in Michigan.
The Grammy award winning singer had the work done back in 2009 and claimed that she wasn't served with the lawsuit and didn't find out there was a default judgment in the civil case until last week.

The lawsuit was filed against Baker in 2011, here attorney Jamal Hammond asked for the emergency hearing because that was the first time Baker had heard of the lawsuit.
The emergency hearing was granted and on Monday the judge lifted the bench warrant issued on Baker.
