While Jahi's family are praying that a miracle will take place, officials at Children's Hospital in Oakland are saying it is not going to happen.

According to CNN:

"No amount of prayer, no amount of hope, no amount of any type of medical procedure will bring her back," said Sam Singer. "The medical situation here in this case is that Jahi McMath died several weeks ago."

Jahi had woken up after having a tonsil operation that was to help her with sleep apnea.

She woke up and asked for a Popsicle for her sore throat which she was given.

But it wasn't long before Jahi went into cardiac arrest and just days later the 13-year-old teenager was declared brain dead.

Tragically, the family now say that Jahi had told them she was scared of going into hospital for fear of not waking up again, said her uncle to CNN.
