A day before the NFL Draft, the Jaguars made some room on their defensive line by trading DE Quentin Groves to the Oakland Raiders for a 5th round pick in this year's draft, pending a physical. The Jaguars now have seven picks, with two in the fifth and two in the sixth, but none in the second and sevenths rounds.
Groves was a second-round pick in 2008, but had a small impact in his two seasons of play. The former Auburn star totaled just 2.5 sacks in 32 games, and was dropped from starter to third-teamer.
Groves is also a notorious Twitter user, so it was only natural that the deal leak out there first in his post: "Duval County....I LOVE U GUYS...thanks for all your support...New Starts(equals)New Beginnings...OAKLAND HERE I COME!!!!"
