Jaguar crash and flip over guardrail

A speeding Jaguar S-Type was going too fast through a wet corner which resulted in a crash and flip over the guardrail. Simply traveling too quickly through the corner, the Jaguar lost control and veered directly towards the side of the road. Hitting the guardrail with an amazing amount of force, the Jaguar was sent flipping into the air for a total of three and a half flips before finally resting on it's side. Could this have been prevented? Totally! If the driver of the Jaguar had taken the corner at an appropriate speed instead of barreling through it like Cole Trickle, they might have not wrecked their precious luxury sports car.

The Jaguar automobile company has a rich tradition of racing, and wrecking. Not only was this Jaguar wrecked at the hands of a merciless driver, historically Jaguars have been prevalent in some of the worst wrecks ever seen. The Le Mans disaster of 1955 was caused by a Jaguar stopping to quickly, causing a catastrophe that killed and injured almost 200 people. This is known as the biggest accident ever in motorsports history, and it's all thanks to a newb driver behind the wheel of a Jag.

Why is this vehicle so prominent in vehicular accidents? It's because of it's handling, quick acceleration, and heavy chassis. The Jaguar S-type is a very fast vehicle, I've owned one before and I can testify for it's driving feel. It's one of those cars that you don't realize how fast your are really going until it's too late. They handle great, but when they lose their grip on the road it's over with minimal chance of recovery unless properly modified for racing. As seen in the footage below, this car started to slide out and then violently corrected itself into the guardrail. Moral of the story, if you have a Jaguar remember their tradition!

Driver should have picked a better place to loose control! The guardrail was already damaged! The rail was down from a previous hit and the area was 'protected' by a few orange cones. Sure wish I was his lawyer.
