Last night, over 1000 of ATL’s movers, shakers, tastemakers and philanthropists took over Peachtree at the uber sexy Vanquish Lounge for the #iHope4U Benefit Concert – a fundraising event in support of the Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless (HFTH) organization.

VIPs included Elizabeth Omilami (CEO Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless/Actress), Afemo Omilami (Co-Director Hosea Feed the Hungry/Actor) Jagged Edge (R&B Super Group), Demetria McKinney (Actress/Recording Artist), Jermaine Dupri (R&B/Hip Hop Super Producer/Rap Artist), Brian Michael Cox (R&B Super Producer), Da Brat (Rap Artist), Michael Mauldin (CEO, Mauldin Brand, Inc.), Big Tigger (Radio/TV Personality – V-103 Atlanta), DJ Nabs (Legendary DJ), Shawty Shawty (Comedian), Pastor Troy (Rap Artist) and more.

Sponsored by V-103, Jagged Edge, The Gidewon Group, Atlantic Records and Hard Case Records, the evening began with light networking. Then, V-103’s afternoon drive personality, Big Tigger, took over to address the crowd, introduce Elizabeth and Afemo Omilami, acknowledge special guests and give definition to the “party with a purpose.”

After introductions, first up to the stage was actress/recording artist, Demetria McKinney, who set the tone with an electrifying performance covering Chaka Khan’s “Can’t Nobody.” Then, she wowed the audience with her new single “100” (now available on iTunes), which featured a surprise performance from Da Brat. Needless to say the crowd went crazy!

Up next was DJ Nabs. Playing the greatest hits of Hip Hop and R&B, he kept the crowd on a high partying to their favorite tunes.

Then, R&B super group, Jagged Edge, took to the stage and SHUT IT DOWN! Singing hits like “Gotta Be” and “Promise,” they had the entire crowd singing like they were by themselves grooving to their favorite songs. But it was their latest single “Hope” that proved to be the perfect tune to match the purpose of the benefit. They ended with the energetic “Where the Party At” and it was very clear that they brought the party to Peachtree! “Hope” is now available on iTunes.
