According to, Jadeveon Clowney is aiming to be the number one pick. During Wednesday’s exclusive story, Clowney stated that it’s “not about the money,” but he wants to prove that he’s the best player in the entire draft.

Most elite NFL draft prospects pick and choose when and where to workout for NFL scouts. However, Jadeveon Clowney is preparing to compete in every workout at the NFL combine.

Clowney’s appearance at the combine will be must see T.V. and his numbers will be heavily scrutinized for better or worse. This should come as no surprise to the hopeful number one pick.

Jadeveon Clowney was picked apart by so called pundits all season long. When he didn’t perform to their bloated expectations, the media was there to pounce on his shortcomings. During wins, the media made it all about Jadeveon Clowney’s lackluster performance. Ironically, these are the same people that attacked Richard Sherman for saying he’s the best corner in the game. That’s one reason why it will be hard for Jadeveon Clowney to win people over.

Although, Clowney has a ways to go before playing in his first NFL game, he must be the consummate professional leading up to the draft.

According to, Clowney predicted he will run a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash. Along with agent Bus Cook, the two agreed that it would be best to participate in every event.

As it presently sits, if Clowney is the number one pick, he will join forces with the Houston Texans and team up with J.J. Watt on the defensive line. However, ESPN draft expert, Mel Kiper has Clowney going to Jacksonville at number three.

In a quarterback driven league, the Texans will be intrigued by a few signal callers as the draft approaches.
