On Monday, a new Jadeveon Clowney story started making the rounds. According to the Associated Press, Jadeveon Clowney was cause speeding over the weekend. The South Carolina State Troopers clocked Clowney at 110 mph in a 70 mph zone.
Here's an excerpt from the Associate Press. "Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. David Jones said Clowney was pulled over in a Chrysler 300 around 7:30 p.m. Saturday northbound on Interstate 77 in Fairfield County, about 25 miles north of Columbia.
Jones says Clowney was issued the ticket and allowed to drive away. It carries a $355 fine and six points, which are half the points needed to suspend a driver's license."
Jadeveon Clowney, the much maligned junior is a lock to enter the NFL draft by the time the South Carolina Gamecocks finish their Capital One bowl game with Wisconsin.
For those critics that said Clowney doesn’t have a high motor, sure will have a field day with the news of the speeding ticket. It will be interesting to see if the ticket will downgrade Clowney's draft stock. According to the NFL mock draft at Fansided.com, Jadeveon Clowney is number three on the board.
Tom Fornelli of Sportsline.com noted that once Jadeveon Clowney gets drafted, he’ll easily have the means to afford the $355 ticket. There’s also a good chance that Clowney will have a more high profile car than the one he was speeding in.
