According to an Oct. 3 tweet from Jade Bryce, the critically-acclaimed Bellator MMA heartthrob is open to Christy Mack becoming a guest ring girl for the promotion before Bellator's Season 9 is complete.
The idea popped up when Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden asked Ms. Bryce about it via Twitter on the afternoon of Oct. 3.
"@thejadebryce #askJade do you think @ChristyMack should be a guest @BellatorMMA ring girl? #millionDollarIdea #bellatorNation," Holden tweeted to Bryce.
"@ChristyMack @EricHolden would be fun!!" Bryce shot back.
As for Mack, she didn't seem too keen on the idea.
She says she would probably fall down if Bellator asked her to assume ring girl duties, so she would rather leave it to the professionals.
"@EricHolden @thejadebryce Jade and Mercedes look beautiful and do a wonderful job. I'd fall- so it's best left to the professionals," Mack tweeted.
Perhaps Ms. Mack was just playing coy, as it wouldn't be that difficult for her to learn how to walk around a cage while holding up a ring card for a Bellator event. Mack is an intelligent young lady, and she's adept at multitasking.
It's likely that Mack simply didn't want to step on anyone's toes by saying she would be open to being a guest ring girl, but maybe she would change her tune now that she knows she has Bryce's blessing.
After all, Bellator MMA has brought in guest ring girls in the past, and it never presented a huge problem for Bryce or the promotion's other regular ring girl, Mercedes Terrell.
Invicta FC ring girl Shannon Ihrke served as guest ring girl at Bellator 84 in Indiana, and nobody had any problem with it.
