Jadakiss talks 'I Love You' with the Breakfast Club

This morning New York emcee Jadakiss, sat down with Power 105's Breakfast Club to promote his latest mixtape, 'I Love You', available on Itunes now.

Jadakiss, one third of The Lox, came into the hip hop business as a mentee of Notorious B.I.G. after signing with Bad Boy in the early 90's. Later, the group's relationship with Diddy soured after Big's death exposed a poor recording contract between the group and the label.

The Yonkers bred rapper admitted that while the situation kept him from flooding the streets with music, like some of his counterparts that have also made it past the digital revolution, it has also helped maintain a demand for his product.

Recently, Diddy tried to mend fences, offering the group a "light nice one" Jada stated outside of a 106 & Park taping - however this morning he acknowledged that while the thoughts may have been in the right place their previous dealing definitely played a role in moving business forward."Due to the way the first contract went, if everything wasn't super tight [we might have dropped a sub zero on him]... but its all love" - he joked.

'I Love You', which features all original music was released by  Def Jam commercially after the sucesss of his last tape 'The Champ is Here 3'. When asked if he is still a member of Roc-a-Fella, the imprint founded by Jay-Z, the former President of Def Jam instrumental in bringing Jada to the label, he noted that while he is still cool with Jay, "Kanye is the only one on Roc right now"; especially where his new label, Roc Nation, is outside the UMG system.

Jadakiss will be touring to promote 'I Love You' throughout small venues in the near future.  His next album 'Top 5 Dead or Alive' is slated to release this fall.
