Another “Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been living a lifestyle she cannot afford. TMZ reported on March 2 that The N.J. Division of Taxation filed a tax lien against Jacqueline earlier this year for $338,337.05.
The tax lien documents do not give any specifics as to what year(s) Laurita owes the debt, but if she is not able to pay the nearly $340,000 soon, The N.J. Division of Taxation could go after her assets.
Jacqueline Laurita is married to Caroline Manzo’s brother Christopher “Chris” Laurita. The couple has two sons together. Jacqueline also has a daughter Ashley from a previous marriage. Last year Jacqueline and Chris Laurita revealed that their younger son Nicholas is autistic. Chris Laurita filed for bankruptcy when his company, Signature Apparel, failed. It is now know yet if The N.J. Department of Taxation will include Chris’s assets if the debt is not paid.
Jacqueline is not the first “RHONJ” to overspend or have debt issues. Former friends and now enemies Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub have both filed for bankruptcy protection. Teresa’s husband “Juicy” Joe Giudice invoked the Fifth Amendment and dropped his request to have millions of dollars in debt forgiven in federal bankruptcy court. Teresa Giudice, who has been accused of hiding assets, is still pursuing a discharge of her debts.
