It’s war! “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will be down one less housewife next season due to the abrupt exit of original cast member Jacqueline Laurita. Laurita and former best friend and co-star Teresa Giudice are no longer speaking due to what Laurita calls a setup by Giudice against fellow co-star Melissa Gorga. Laurita is furious that Giudice said in an article that Laurita spilled the “secret” that Gorga was once a stripper, a claim that Gorga has since vehemently denied. The incident was the last straw for Laurita who tweeted today that “Teresa is scum!” and “IT’s OVER”.
In addition to the drama filled tweets regarding Gorga’s alleged career, Laurita also posted pictures of text messages between her and Giudice. Laurita then stated via Twitter that she would be taking a step back from the drama because it is not what she signed up for.
As for Gorga, the cast member at the center of the drama who also happens to be Giudice’s sister in law, she is currently filming season 4 of the series and says that she cannot reveal too much about how everything plays out. However, her rocky relationship with Giudice has been played out through much of this season and based on recent interviews and Bravo blogs, has not gotten much better.
The departure of Laurita makes the third housewife to exit the series. Dina Manzo left in the middle of Season 2 following an ongoing feud with cast member Danielle Staub. Staub was let go at the conclusion of Season 2. Caroline Manzo who is the sister of Laurita’s husband and the only remaining original cast member other than Giudice has yet to comment on the recent events.
