Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe have enough legal issues to go around when it comes to the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. However, this week, it was Teresa's former co-star and friend, Jacqueline Laurita who was making headlines.
Apparently, a friend of the reality star and mother of two poses as their lawyer when he wasn't authorized to practice law, and now, he's being indicted.
"Jacqueline Laurita and her husband Chris’ former attorney has been charged with falsely representing himself to police as a lawyer," Radar Online reported on December 19. "Mark J. McGuire, of Franklin Lakes, told Ridgewood police last April he was an attorney representing the RHONJ stars."
At the time, McGuire reportedly spent nearly an hour with Jacqueline and her husband as they were interviewed by police in regards to a fight that broke out during the filming of the fifth season of the show.
During the indictment, which was held on Tuesday of this week, it was determined that McGuire "did knowingly engage in the unauthorized practice of law and created or reinforced a false impression" to detectives "that he is licensed to engage in the practice of law."
McGuire was arrested in September and charged with a one count of "unauthorized practice of law." His next court appearance has yet to be scheduled.
As for Jacqueline's part on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she will reportedly not be returning for the show's upcoming season which recently began production.
