Jacque Waller: Family, community aggressively search for missing mom of triplets

JACKSON, Missouri (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) -- The longer time passes with no word of what happened to missing 39-year-old Jacque Sue Waller the stronger the resolve becomes to find her and bring her home to her family where she belongs.

Jacque's family, friends, and community are aggressively searching for the missing Missouri mother of triplets who vanished over six weeks ago and who is feared dead.

On the afternoon of June 1 everything changed for Jacque's family when she suddenly vanished without a trace. Her sister knew of Jacque's fears that her husband might kill her - she said he threatened Jacque saying a divorce would be a death sentence.

People often say things they don't really mean. Now, Jacque's family is convinced James "Clay" Waller meant every word. Her father, Stan Rawson, posted on the Find Jacque S Waller Facebook page:

“Don’t underestimate him! He is a bit nutso, but is not stupid at all. I underestimated him and my little girl got killed because of it. Jacque’s Dad.”

On the afternoon of June 1, Jacque called her family at around 4 p.m. to let them know she was arriving at Clay's house to pick up their son, Maddox, who he said was there.

The estranged couple had met with attorneys earlier in the day to finalize their divorce.

It was supposed to be a day of relief and fresh starts for Jacque who, her family says, struggled in her marriage and put up with death threats from her husband.

She believed she was finally free.

Sadly, it didn't turn out that way. Maddox wasn't there after all and Jacque's family believes Clay used their son as bait to get Jacque to the empty house. Her family worried when they didn't hear back from her right away. Clay said she's taken off on foot after an argument. Her abandonded vehicle was found on a nearby freeway with a flat tire.

Her family has never heard from Jacque, she's never used her credit cards, cell phone, email, or social networking sites since she vanished that afternoon.

Her parents have been vocal and aren't holding back. Stan has made it very clear he believes his son-in-law was involved in Jacque’s disappearance, and that he believes Jacque was killed.

Stan says he stands by all of his comments. He said he just wants his daughter brought home.

Some say they feel Clay is being treated unfairly and that he's not been named a suspect. He has not been charged in his wife's disappearance or death. The case is still classified as "missing endangered," and police have not announced a change of classification to Jacque's being a homicide case.

At this time Jacque's ex-husband is the only person of interest in her disappearance and Stan says it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out about what happened to his daughter. He has faith in the Jackson Police and the entire investigative team working to build his daughter's case.

Over the weekend some 200 volunteers, including friends, family, and community members, endured the heat and gave up their personal time to help search for Jacque. They vowed to never stop looking until they find her.

Becky W. posted to the Jacque S Waller Facebook page expressing her resolve to find Jacque:

“Clay if I have to give up the rest of my weekends searching for Jacque I will … This is for you Jacque we will find you so you can rest and you will have your justice. We are one big family now and we will forever love you!!”

Laura H. suggested that people check their local areas to be sure missing persons’ fliers are posted. “If there isn’t one, get one put up!” she said.

Marki B. said, “We’ve got 3 posted at work, I see them in every gas station I go into.”

Jacque's dad isn't the only one with concerns that Clay is involved in her disappearance.

Suzanne S. posted: “Dear Clay, I saw you this morning … I also saw the 3 police officers following you. Must suck to be you, a**hole…”

Lori C. added, “And when the police aren’t following him, the community IS!”
