Third time's a charm. This means the 3rd annual Jacksonville Fashion Week is bound to be magical. Jacksonville Fashion Week is multi-event fashion production featuring regional, local, and national designers while collaborating with area businesses to benefit nonprofit organizations.
In preparing for this fashion event, Jacksonville Fashion Week organizers have released a list of the designers that will be participating, as well as the schedule for the week. Jacksonville Fashion Week will take place March 27th through March 30th, and will consist of many pre events, runway shows, accessory showcases, and a fashion industry panel discussion.
There will be approximately 15 designers showcasing their great work, including but not limited to, Banana Bread Baby, Xempt, Sandra Alford, Lisa Kaminski, Chabri, Daniel Saponaro, Erin Healy, and Mia Merritt, winner of last year's Emerging Designer Showcase. The Emerging Designers Showcase will include Carla Weaver, Lindsey Knox, Katrina Parman, Lorena Knezevic, and Alvin Clinch Jr.
The Industry Panel Discussion and cocktail reception will be held on the first day of Jacksonville Fashion Week. Jenn Talley, Digital Editor for Teen Vogue, will be featured for the panel discussion. For the first time, Jacksonville will host an accessories showcase on March 28th, featuring designers Mel Boteri, Lacey B, Yozu Zen Scarves, and Crystal Addiction.
The location for all JFW events will be the The Museum, a new event venue located at 4160 Boulevard Center Drive, and tickets will go on sale on February 15th. They can be purchased at www.jacksonvillefashionweek.com .The ticket sales will be proceeds to selected charities Dignity U Wear, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Wolfson's Children Hospital.
