Say NO to "Bill 2013-761"!

Tuesday February 4, 2014 Jacksonville City Hall, Council Chambers. Jacksonville City Councilman Bishop is proposing a bill basically related to the Mobility Fee Moratorium of last year. Remember that beast? This bill would give developers the discretion to determine how and where their mobility fees are spent and could opt out altogether of spending money on Bike/Ped projects. In essence, this would take away the prioritization of Bike/Ped needs within the Mobility Plan.

YOU KNOW we are already grossly lacking in Bike/Ped infrastructure. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE THIS MONEY.
We must gather in large numbers at the next City Hall meeting concerning this bill on FEBRUARY 4th. Bring friends.
This issue will be open for public comment at the Land Use and Zoning Committee beginning at 5pm. The item will be taken up towards the end of the meeting. I have posted the Bill Summary below.
If you would like to speak tomorrow you will need to do the following at the meeting:
1. Fill out a speaker card
2. Sign it if you are going to speak
3. Read the rules on the back of the card
4. Place card in try

If you park in the Library Garage (Entry on Duval Street near Main Street) please see the Legislative Assistant at the meeting for ticket validation.
Say NO to Bill # 2013-761! SPREAD THE WORD.
