JACKSON, MS -NOVEMBER RAINFALL WELL BELOW AVERAGE
After experiencing the 3rd wettest October on record in Jackson, the city is now experiencing one of the driest Novembers on record.
Jackson averages just over 5 inches of rainfall for the month of November, but just less than one half inch of rainfall has fallen.
This ranks November 2009 as the 3rd driest on record so far.
The driest November on record was in 1924 when only a trace of rainfall was recorded.

The only significant rainfall this month missed the Jackson area to the east and southeast where the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida, dumped 1-4 inches of rainfall earlier this month.
While this November is currently ranked as the third driest November on record, rainfall is possible by Sunday and or on Monday, the final days of this month.
