Everyone seems to be returning home to Port Charles on “General Hospital” much to the delight of many long time GH viewers. The returns wouldn’t be complete without one of the original bad girls and fan favorite Bobbie Spencer played by Jacklyn Zeman who announced Wednesday on her Facebook page that she is returning to the 49-year old soap.
Zeman writes:
“Bobbie Spencer is coming back to GH soon. I am very happy to be invited and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. Thank you so much to all of you for your good wishes and positive thoughts.”
GH fans have been wondering about the whereabouts of Zeman’s character that just seemed to fade away as the actress saw less and less screen time. With the return of some long time favorites including kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin), Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe), Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) and Genie Francis (Laura Spencer), the character of Bobbie will have much interaction and it will be interesting to see what GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini has in store for Bobbie.
One thing is for sure, it will be nice to see scenes between Bobbie and her daughter Carly played by Laura Wright and it will just be nice seeing Bobbie Spencer grace the halls of GH once again. Zeman is excited about returning home.
“I am so pleased,” she told Soap Opera Digest. “Literally, every day I am getting stopped on the street. ‘Are you coming back?’ It’s a complicated question to answer because I always want to be positive and support the show, but at the same time, you don’t want to lead people [on].”
Now she can tell people what they want to hear. Bobbie Spencer is back!
Zeman, who originated the roll in 1977, was last seen in Port Charles in 2010.
