I hate to say it, but summer is coming to an end (the unofficial season, at least) and kids are heading back to school as early as next week! Say it isn’t so! In the meantime, there are a gazillion events taking place during the next few weeks. Let’s squeeze in as much summertime fun as possible while we can!
The City of Redondo Beach hosts Summer Family Films under the Stars throughout the month of August. Every Friday evening during the month of August, Alta Vista Park will be transformed into an outdoor theater for screenings of family-friendly movies. Enjoy an evening in the park with family, friends and neighbors. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets and whatever you do, don’t forget the popcorn! This Friday, August 8, they’ll be screening A Midsummer Night's Dream. The movie begins at dusk. These screenings are very popular so you’ll want to arrive early to claim a prime viewing location! This event is free and open to the public. Alta Vista Park is located at 715 Julia Street in Redondo Beach. For additional information, visit the website at http://www.sopdigitaledition.com/cityofredondo/.
