Not too long ago that entertaining Chinese actor from Hong Kong, Jackie Chan, announced he was retiring from acting. This made us all feel a little older seeing a guy with so much vim and vigor as a martial arts film star calling it quits. But, to the pleasure of his millions of fans worldwide Chan is now moving back into the acting world. Arab News reported on Oct. 20, 2013, "Jackie Chan takes on Hollywood."
Last year Chan declared at France’s Cannes film festival that he was retiring from action films. Now he says after more than a decade of contemplating quitting, he is going to instead let his body decide. He has commented, “When I was 40-something the media would ask me and then I said another five years, and then five years and five years until now.” Now he wants to see how far he can go until his body says to stop. Chan has recently been promoting his 2012 Chinese action film “Chinese Zodiac.”
TVNZ has reported, "Jackie Chan delays retiring from action films." Chan is well known for performing all of his high-flying and physically punishing stunts. He has appeared in more than 100 films and he now writes, produces and directs his own films in Asia. Chan has commented, "Six more months and I'm going to be 60. And I will see how far I can go until my body tells me, 'Stop.'" It's really very exciting to see Chan back in action.
