Jack Wills hosts career panel for students to promote their internship contest

On Tuesday evening, Examiner.com was on the scene for a special event hosted by British clothing line Jack Wills. Jack Wills’ USA Marketing Manager, Jonno Stenning and special guests, fashion editors Adam Mansuroglu and Faye Power from Cosmopolitan Magazine discussed internships, dream jobs, and breaking into the worlds of fashion and marketing.

The panel was also meant to give students an overview of Jack Wills' awesome internship program. Jack Wills, is determined to once again find the coolest, most outgoing and motivated students with the “Best Summer Job in America” contest. This year, Jack Wills is seeking five individuals to apply for a 14-week immersion into the Jack Wills lifestyle, where they will get paid to travel to the U.S.’s hottest summer playgrounds, host fabulous parties, spend a week in London at Jack Wills’ HQ, and learn how to market one of the U.S.’s fastest growing retail brands.

Students will compete for a three-month long paid internship in one of the company’s five seasonal locations: Chatham, MA, Edgartown, MA, Nantucket, MA, Newport, RI, or Southampton, NY. From May 28th to August 30th, 2013 the winners will live in the Jack Wills house, commandeer a Jack Wills Land Rover, work at the local JackWills retail store, and spend a week in London at the company’s UK headquarters.

Students, when not working in the retail store, should expect to spend their summer hanging out on the beach, sailing and surfing during the day, and organizing a variety of events, all while learning the ins and out of successfully marketing a retail brand. The internship will also include travel, and attending the biggest Jack Wills event of the summer, JW Varsity Polo.
