Jack White has done just about everything in his decade-long career. He re-made the face of the early 2000's sound with The White Stripes. He conquered Americana music with his band The Raconteurs and Garage Rock with his band Dead Weather. His skills as a producer have shocked new life into the mostly dormant careers of legends like Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson. But one thing Jack White has never done is release a solo album.
That all changes on April 24 when Jack White's first solo album Blunderbuss hits stores. Today, White provided a sneak peek at what fans can expect on Blunderbuss with the debut of the album's first single "Love Interruption." Containing none of the wailing guitar work that has punctuated White's other work, "Love Interruption" is a dark acoustic number with accompanying vocals by Nashville's Ruby Amanfu.
"Love Interruption" is currently available for listening as a streaming track on Jack White's Third Man Records website and will be available for digital purchase on 1/31. For those wanting a physical copy of "Love Interruption", a 7" vinyl single also containing B-side track "Machine Gun Silhouette" will be released on February 7 but is currently available for pre-order at Third Man Records Shop. The entire Blunderbuss album, produced by White at Third Man Records in Nashville, will be available on April 24.
