Jack White, Karen Elson throw divorce party: 'No plus ones or dead beats'

Things are pretty amicable in the divorce of White Stripes singer Jack White and his wife British model and singer Karen Elson.

The two announced their impending disunion via party invitations celebrating their "sixth anniversary and their upcoming divorce.

"We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow.

“In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.”

The invitation added, "This is only for close personal friends so please no plus ones or dead beats. Please help us celebrate together this anniversary of the making and breaking of the sacred union of marriage with our best friends and animals."

The party was held in Nashville June 6, where the family reside.
