It was an intimate premiere as the talent of “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,” walked the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA this past Wednesday.

The quietness of the night was broken as Keira Knightley arrived on the carpet causing a stir with photographers yelling for her to look at her camera. Having just come off a plane, Knightley looked loved wearing a pleated navy colored dress with white trim. She jokingly said that the way she looks good on the carpet is having a great makeup artist and stylist.

In the film, Keira plays Cathy Muller, the fiancé of Jack Ryan (played by Chris Pine). She doesn’t know that he’s a secret agent. Asked if she found out her husband or fiancé was a secret agent, what would her reaction be, “I probably kick him in the bullocks. I think that’s something that should be told to somebody before you get married. But she’s happier and much nicer than I am.”

Playing her fiancé and title character in the film as Jack Ryan, a young covert CIA agent, Chris Pine says you’ll expect something different from this film that you expect with action heroes. “It’s not Jason Bourne who fights with his fists and knows what he is doing physically. As a trained assassin, it’s not James Bond who has the flashy suits and the bevy of beautiful women. Cute with all the gadgets. This is real man who is trying to figure out how to survive. Figure out how to save the woman of his life like very much any one of us in the really extraordinary situation."

The film is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
