Jack Osbourne is stealing the hearts of America with his understated manner and charm. In week 5 of Dancing with the Stars,” a week dedicated to the celebrity’s most memorable year, he did it again. The episode, which aired Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m., revealed the softer side of Jack and his highs and lows of 2012.
The bright spot of his life that year was the birth of his daughter Pearl. Just two weeks later, he learned he had multiple sclerosis, an incurable disease which at its worst can leave the victim wheelchair-bound in their later years. Jack admitted while he was afraid, it wasn’t for himself but for his daughter. As a brand new father, he struggled with wondering if he’d be able to meet his parental responsibilities and provide for her. Tears filled his eyes as he spoke of it. The touching moment can be seen in the accompanying video.
He and partner Cheryl Burke dedicated a waltz danced to “I'm Kissing You," by Des'ree which the judges roundly adored. After the performance he went to the sideline of the ballroom and kissed his wife. The judges rewarded him with straight nines for a total of 27, his highest score of the season.
Tune in next week when “Dancing with the Stars” returns on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
