Talk about your celebrity dirt! According to real estate sources, there is a hot new property in the Hollywood Hills on the market. Well, actually one that was hot -- smoking hot to be exact. Perez Hilton writes, "[Actor] Jack Nicholson wants you to know that you can totally buy the lot of dirt where his house burned down in September 2011. No pressure or anything, though."
According to the celebrity gossip guru, "The empty lot once had a 1,300-square-foot Hollywood Hills mansion, owned by Nicholson, but rented out. If you want that piece of [history] land, you can snatch it up for $595,000."
"It's a steal!" say most Hollywood insiders.
"Mostly because there isn't a house there anymore! LOLz..." writes the columnist. Hinting that a new home owner who is buying a house for location, location, location can essentially scoop the property up and rebuild the house exactly how they want -- most likely only needing to use the blueprint for the original foundation -- would be a good thing.
Ain't that grand?
For a new buyer -- and more importantly the seller (in this case) -- yes.
"No matter how you slice it, Jack will be adding to his already overflowing piggy bank... because he bought the place back in 1975" for a price tag that now essentially equates to a song. "$49,000..." according to California property tax records says Hilton.
"The Departed' actor's 1,300-square-foot Hollywood Hills house went up in flames back in September 2011, and the damage was so bad he razed the plot with a bulldozer..." claims Bang Showbiz. They further reveal, "Before the fire Jack - estimated to be worth some $400 million - had been renting out the property which stood on it."
Jack Nicholson recently turned 75-years old. He is one of Hollywood's most famous and iconic celebrity seniors.
