The Jack Nicholson, Jennifer Lawrence interview at the Oscars have fans of the talented actors talking this week, as ABC News reported this Monday, Feb. 25, that winning an Oscar wasn’t the only big shock for the “Silver Linings Playbook” actress at the Sunday night Academy Awards. Jack Nicholson interrupted her interview to congratulate her on her performance in the award-winning film.
Jennifer Lawrence was in the process of talking about her big 2013 Oscar win when it happened.
“I feel like I can’t even remember. It’s kind of an insane moment and it was just really exciting. It was really just shocking. It was the first time I’ve ever felt, like, actual shock.”
Then the Jack Nicholson, Jennifer Lawrence celebrity news headline began after Nicholson popped into the interview and said to the talented “The Hunger Games” actress:
“You did such a beautiful job. I didn’t mean to cross into your interview but I had to congratulate you.”
“You’re being really rude,” replied Lawrence with a joking laugh after thanking the star.
Jennifer Lawrence was certainly star-struck, as her lovable smile and covering of her face afterwards not only hinted to watching fans that she had met Jack Nicholson for the first time, but that it was a big moment for her. While Lawrence may have fallen going up the stairs to receive her award, she made light of the moment with her usual humor and grace.
The actress said only after he left, “Oh my God,” and put her hands up to cover her face. “Is he still there?”
“I’ll be waiting,” said Nicholson, appearing back on the camera for one last surprise.
