Ja Rule has become a microwave expert and he’s decided to release a cookbook on the matter according to New York Post’s Page Six on October 23. Ja Rule has been serving a two-year sentence and was released in May. Ja Rule was forced to prepare his own meals using nothing more than a simple microwave. Since Ja Rule wasn't satisfied with the simple cuisine behind bars he had to whip up his own gourmet fair.
“He explained that while behind bars he learned to cook anything and everything in a microwave,” an insider told the New York Post’s Page Six. Ja Rule stated that instead of eating the cruddy prison food he was whipping up lasagna and cheesecake in the jail dorm.
Rule, who served the two-year sentence for tax evasion is now a self-proclaimed microwave meal pro. Ja Rule shared his ideas at the New York City Food & Wine Festival where he was surrounded by high-profile chefs such as Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri.
Ja Rule has been out promoting his new movie, “I’m In Love With A Church Girl,” co-starring Adrienne Bailon and during his discussions he’ll discuss his hatred for the jail food. Ja Rule discusses how you can’t take the kitchen food, but you can get packages so it is possible to “eat decent enough.”
