Ja'Nel Witt, winner of the eleventh season TV reality show, "Hell’s Kitchen," didn’t get to enjoy her job as head-chef in Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, Pub & Grill in Ceasars Palace. After winning the grueling tests that Gordon Ramsay threw her way, she failed the most important one; her drug test.
When most people know that they have to pass a drug test to get a job, they abstain from partaking in any activity that could jeopardize their opportunity. When they tested Ja'Nel Witt for drugs, she failed. Reality TV said that she failed miserably. The results came back with positive results for cocaine, and she lost the job.
Of course, she may not care about the job. Apparently, she will still receive her promised salary of $250,000 for the first year. That's not a too shabby a paycheck when you don’t even have to show up to work.
It is standard practice for Ceasars to subject newly hired employees to undergo a drug test. It is a strict policy required of all their employees.
Ja”Nel won in "Hell’s Kitchen" contest in late July. She defeated 26-year-old Mary Poehnelt.
Ja'Nel thanked everyone on her Twitter page, but didn’t give the reason why she couldn’t take the job. She simply explained it away with, "Due to personal matters, I will not be joining the team in Las Vegas, but I wish them continued success."
Hopefully Ja'Nel will enjoy her winnings and get herself straightened out.
