J.J. Redick trade rumors: Orlando Magic trade suitors increase for Redick

J.J. Redick trade rumors aren't slowing down and an Orlando Magic trade could be imminent. A Redick trade might come down to where he wouldn't mind signing a contract extension. According to a report from early Thursday (Feb. 21), Redick is saying all the right things. He has stated that he would welcome a trade to a contender, but also wouldn't mind finishing out the season in Orlando.

It has started to seem like the whole situation is starting to weigh on Redick, so by the end of Thursday he should see a huge relief in stress. Either Orlando is going to trade Redick away and gain a good asset or two, or the team is going to risk losing him in free agency at the end of the current season. Redick has stated before that he could envision re-signing with the Magic, but the lack of a contract offer from the front office might be telling.

Teams interested in acquiring Redick have been many, with the New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Chicago Bulls among the most noteworthy. The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves have also been linked in trade rumors to the Magic, but neither has offered up something that has been seriously considered. The other three teams are more interesting, simply because New York and Chicago might overpay and Milwaukee has Monta Ellis dangling out there.

J.J. Redick trade rumors are going to continue until an Orlando Magic trade takes place or until the NBA trade deadline hits at 3 pm ET on Feb. 21. He is a player that could help out a very high number of teams in the league and if a team is willing to offer up a first-round pick to get him, Orlando needs to seriously consider taking the offer.

In the world of fantasy basketball, having Redick remain in Orlando will keep his value the highest. If he goes to a contending team, the risk of Redick's minutes or shot attempts going down is very real.
