The Chain store's struggling amidst the market after removing “sales” from all their stores last year. J.C. Penney’s will bring sales back to hundreds of it stores this week to win over shoppers who went elsewhere after the big change. Also added in the stores will be comparison price signs to show customers just exactly how they are saving by shopping there. This mostly will be implemented with the Arizona brand clothing but will cover half of their clothing on the floor.
The experiment just proves to other retailers shopper are hard to change once they set shopping habits and would prefer the 600 discounts offered year round than flat pricing with no sales. The new changes will go into effect on the same day they were discontinued last year in February. J.C. Penney's stock value has dropped to half the value it was last year at $19. a share.
