Izzi Farm in Ida, MI makes for an a-MAZE-ing day trip

Autumn in Michigan has had its share of gray days and slowly changing fall colors this year. A way to boost your enthusiasm for October and the upcoming Halloween festivities is to take a day trip up to Ira, home of Izzi Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch.

Kids can choose their own pumpkins and run themselves ragged through acres of a precisely carved cornstalk maze. Open from 5 pm until dusk on Fridays and 11 am until dusk on Saturdays and Sundays until November 1, Izzi Farm offers a great destination just 30 miles north of Detroit.

If daytime travel doesn't work for you, plan to drive out on a Saturday evening and tackle the maze with nothing more than a glow stick to light your way!

Admission to the corn maze (which includes a glow stick for the moonlight event) is $7 for adults 12 and older and $4 for kids 6-11. Children 5 and younger are admitted free of charge.

Izzi Farm is easy to find. Just 5 miles east of I-94 exit 248 on Marine City Highway (26 Mile Road.) Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy snacks and homemade goodies available at the farm. Either way, Issi Farm is a great place to establish a new autumn tradition.
