Ivy Lane Denizen is one of the newest Green cards from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set "Gatecrash." Featured in the "Simic Synthesis" intro pack, Ivy Lane Denizen is a charitable +1/+1 counter donor.

Whenever another green creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

Not only does Ivy Lane Denizen's 2/3 body help grow early Evolve creatures like Cloudfin Raptor or Experiment One, it can even make Adaptive Snapjaw larger. What makes Ivy Lane Denizen particularly powerful though is that it can help provide a stream of +1/+1 counters to green creatures you control, making it a great buddy to Fathom Mage.
You don't need to be playing a Simic deck to take advantage of Ivy Lane Denizen. It makes a fantastic addition to aggressive Gruul decks packed with multicolored threats like Ghor-Clan Rampager, Skarrg Guildmage, and Rubblehulk.
