The tulips are nowhere in sight; in fact, there isn’t a blooming flower to be found. No matter, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm will be buzzing with lots of family fun and frightful hauntings from September 28 through October 31 during the 4th Annual Wooden Shoe Pumpkin Fest near Woodburn.
Known for almost thirty years as THE Oregon spring destination for magnificent full-blooming tulip fields, the Iverson family farm will be transformed for one month into the best that the local fall season has to offer.
Halloween Hauntings will take place in the all-new “Pumpkin Patch” themed corn maze for the bravest of souls. Hauntings take place October 11-12, 18-19, and 26-27 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. with first hour featuring the new Zombie Hunt. Fee for haunting is $6/person or $10/person for the Paintball Zombie Hunt and corn field haunting combo.
Lots of activities are planned for 2013 including tube slides, hay tent, paintball gallery, calf roping, giant spider web, hay wagon and the famed Iverson Pumpkin Cannon. Of course, everyone can ride the cow train through the corn maze, select your own pumpkin to take home, enjoy the ducky races, ride the horse swings, archery tag (weekends) and visit the autumn-themed gift shop.
A daily feature for 2013 will be hands on displays that showcase the crops that are grown on the Iverson Farm as well as some of their resident farm animals (see our website for exact dates). The Iverson tradition of great food will be on the weekend menu.
