IU recruit Vonleh named to McDonald's All-Star game

New Hampton (NH) Prep forward Noah Vonleh, an Indiana recruit, has been named a McDonald's All-American. He'll participate in the annual high-school all-star game, slated for April 3 at the United Center in Chicago.

The 6'9" Vonleh is rated as the seventh best high school player according to Rivals.com. He'll become the latest Hoosier commit to play in the contest, following on the heels of Yogi Ferrell last year and Cody Zeller the year previous. In all, 27 Hoosier players have suited up in the high school senior showcase. Vonleh will play for the East squad.

Looking ahead, Vonleh will most likely assume a prominent role as a freshman, especially if IU loses, as expected, both Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo to the NBA draft.

The only other Indiana player named was Demetrius Jackson of Mishawaka-Marian. Jackson will suit up next fall for hometown Notre Dame.
