World renown violinist Itzhak Perlman will be in Cincinnati tonight to play and conduct the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Music Hall. This legendary musician has not played in Cincinnati since the 100th anniversary of Music Hall in 1995 but tonight's performance should be special for many reasons.
First of all the fact that Perlman is picking up the baton to conduct the CSO will make the show special. However, tonight's show will also mark the first time that Perlman is getting to conduct his son-in-law, Robert Johnson, a french horn player in the CSO, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
If you have not gotten tickets to this special event, fear not. Because the show is a near sell out and expected to completely sell out, the show will be simulcast at Newport on the Levee. The simulcast will be held in the gallery of the building that houses the AMC Theatres. The show and the simulcast is scheduled for 8 p.m.
