Its opening day at the Museum of Genital Integrity. The guests are stunned by the gruesome realness of the feature exhibit - a life size replica of a newborn baby strapped to a circumstraint, undergoing a brutal hospital circumcision.

Miles Hastwick, the museum's curator, tells guests the museum is planning additional exhibits soon. They will be adding an exhibit of a brit milah and one of a tribal African circumcision. Surely these exhibits will help people understand how harmful circumcision really is.

But Hastwick knows the pro-circumcision lobby is strong. With many powerful and well-connected doctors and lawyers on their side, Hastwick fears it will take more than a museum exhibit to keep babies safe from harm.

That's why Hastwick has a little something extra up his sleeve. You see, his role as unassuming museum curator is only a cover. When he gets the alert that an innocent babe's foreskin is threatened by the dastardly Dr. Mutilator, Hastwick dons his superhero duds, transforms into Foreskin Man, and hastens off to save the day.

About the Foreskin Man Comic Strip

This comic is the brainchild of real life intactivist Matthew Hess. Hess is president of MGMbill.org, an intactivist web site and organization dedicated to making non-therapeutic circumcision as illegal for boys as it already is for girls.

In the press release announcing the Foreskin Man comic series, Hess makes the following comments:

"The Foreskin Man comic book uses popular art to shine a spotlight on the practice of infant circumcision. Over the years there have been a lot of rationalizations and justifications to keep it going, but the bottom line is that forced circumcision violates human rights. I hope this story will help convince some people of that in a way that words alone cannot."

Hess continues, "I've been a fan of comic books since before I could even read the words in them, so I wanted the art to be at least as good as the story. I'm very happy with how it came out, and I hope readers enjoy it."

Foreskin Man #1 is available to read and download for free at http://www.foreskinman.com.

Hess is currently at work on Foreskin Man #2, hinting that the parents will have a more active role in protecting the child in the second edition. We cannot wait to see what happens next!
