iTrace teaches kids writing and spelling

Sometimes kids miss out on the basics in school, so a new iOS app is hoping to fill in the gaps for children when it comes to shapes, words, writing and spelling.

iTrace, is an upcoming education/entertainment app for the iPad which will be live in the App Store on Jan.17th.

From the people at iTrace:

Guided by adaptive visual hints and gentle narration, children can learn to write letters, numbers, and words by using their fingers to trace each shape. Children can play the app’s fun picture matching game as they complete each exercise. Children from around the globe can now learn the basics of handwriting from the comfort and familiarity of a tablet device.

Created under the guidance of seasoned educators, iTrace uses the iPad’s touch screen sensitivity to teach children the basics of school in writing, and spelling. With the capability to host multiple players, the app saves the entire history of each player, ensuring that their individual progress is recorded and positive feedback is given with the app’s collection of exciting visual rewards.

The team at iTrace thinks this app could be helpful for all kids.

“iTrace is an exciting and interactive way for children of all ages to learn and perfect their writing skills,” said Michael Bogorad, CEO of DevPocket, Inc. “Creating a fun yet educational environment for children is one of the most important concerns for any parent and our app achieves this in a simple, engaging, and rewarding manner. We’re excited for both parents and children to play with iTrace together and learn the vital skill of writing in a fun and engaging manner!”

iTrace Features as will be posted on their iTunes listing:
- 600+ different rewards
- 50 animated objects
- Supports multiple players
- Saves the entire history of each child's progress
- Supports multiple methods of writing the same letters
- A simple switch adjusts the entire system for left-handed kids

iTrace will be available January 17, 2013.
