Following in the footsteps of not only our Lord Jesus Christ, but the pathways of Ms. Carrie Underwood on American Idol and Ms. Susan Boyle, Sister Cristina Scuccia a Sicilian native stunned the world and left the panel of judges on The Voice of Italy in tears as if they were touched by an angel.
Performing the Alicia Keys song No One, Sister Cristina received a standing ovation from the audience within the first few seconds following the start of her audition, with her parents and four of her fellow Sisters in attendance.
Sister Cristina Scuccia, a 25-year-old member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family of Milan, Italy opted to appear on The Voice of Italy at the recommendation of her superiors. Sister Cristina now eagerly awaits the approval of the Vatican and Pope Francis. Let us all pray that the Vatican lets this talented young woman share her gift with the world for many more years to come. The angels in heaven are truly rejoicing.
