Italian Meat loaf

Add Italian flavor to a home-style meat loaf recipe. Marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and Italian seasonings flavor this ground beef meatloaf. Serve it with mashed potatoes and green salad for an easy dinner.

What You Need:
(Makes: 6 servings)

1 & 1/2 lbs. of ground beef
1 slice white bread, crusts removed, finely chopped
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1 cup of mozzarella (divided)
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of garlic, minced
2 teaspoons of fresh parsley, chopped
2 teaspoon of fresh oregano
1 teaspoons of fresh basil
1/2 teaspoon of fresh thyme
2 cups of good quality marinara sauce (homemade is best)

What to Do:
Combine all of the ingredients (except for the sauce and 1/2 cup of mozzarella) and mix well.

STEP 2) Place the mixture into a bread pan or 1 & 1/2 quart baking dish and shape into a loaf. Smooth out top. Pour marinara sauce over the top and sides of meatloaf; sprinkle 1/2 cup of mozzarella over the sauce. Bake the meatloaf at 350 degrees about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done (170 degrees with a meat thermometer).

STEP 3) Enjoy!
