The outspoken President of the Italian American group IAOVC (Italian American One Voice Coalition) is yet again outraged over Jersey Shore. This time Andre DiMino's focus is on Jersey City's decision to welcome Snooki and JWoWW's Jersey Shore spinoff by issuing filming permits.
Jersey City sets ground rules for Snooki, JWoWW's Jersey Shore spinoff"WHAT?!? Jersey City welcomes TRASH TV spinoff from Jersey Shore to shoot there! DISGRACEFUL!" DiMino raged on Twitter today (Friday). "Hoboken said NO to Snooki - BRAVO HOBOKEN!!!" As Examiner.com previously reported Hoboken denied 495 Productions the necessary filming pemits to film the show in their community citing public safety concerns. DiMino, who is the former President of the Italian-American organization UNICO, has been outspoken about his distaste for the MTV reality show since it's December 2009 premiere. He has met with MTV execs to work to lessen the Italian stereotypes from Jersey Shore and has gone as far as to criticize Jay Leno, an Italian American, for booking the show's stars on his late night talk show.
Production on JWoWW and Snooki's new show will begin filming later this month in Jersey City.
Jersey Shore Season 5 airs Thursdays on MTV at 10pm ET/PT.
