Whether you like Spring or not, it is nearly here. At exactly 2 a.m. Sunday morning the time will move forward one hour and remain that way until November 3, 2013. Unless you live in Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas, the time will change to daylight savings time.
Daylight savings time is observed almost as a season all it's own. Many will be sleeping through this change that cannot be seen or felt until you arrive late for an event or when observed by the sun rising and setting at a different time on your clock.
So, remember to set your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed. It is also recommended by safety officials to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors as well as hazard warning radios and other devices that are meant to protect you and your family.
Whether you snooze a little earlier tonight and wake tomorrow without being tired or have that a extra cup of coffee instead is totally up to you. The time is changing no matter what you decide to do. Not to worry though, most electronic devices such as computers and cell phones adjust to daylight savings time automatically.
