It's time to change

We're having a bit of a cold snap here in sunny, Southern California. The flu virus is also making its rounds here in the form of aches and pains, high fevers, coughs and congestion.

Sick days called in at work.

It's a new year, so instead of resolutions, let's commit to just change. It's simpler that way. Tired of attracting the flu bug? Then, get your flu vaccination before Christmas, this year.

Don't want to freeze every time you venture outdoors on errands or walks? Then budget for some warm coat or two, a beanie to keep your body warmth from escaping, and maybe even some winter gloves. They do sell them here in Los Angeles.

Instead of struggling with resolutions, which seem so daunting and formidable, try a little change. A change of thought. Everything stems from a thought. Change how you think about what you seek to change this year.

Don't want so much belly flab? Change your thinking to a leaner you. Think about what you eat, how you exercise and what you can change about those activities that will help you become leaner.

First the thought of change, then the action to change. And, committment toward that action.

Pick three things you want to change this year. Lose some weight, maybe better relationships, or even more income. Think of what actions will lead toward those results and begin to practice them. Every day take some action to lead you there.

Think. Take some action. See what happens.
