Never settle in life. Too often we think that we can’t do any better and this is as good as it will get. Well if that is how you really feel then you are either wrong or lazy. Sometimes change takes extra effort and yes, it may be scary, but how will you ever move ahead in life if you are stationary.
It is difficult to find a group of musicians that you really mesh with and who have the same goals, but settling for the wrong group of musicians to work with can be just as detrimental as settling for the wrong partner in life. When you choose to write music with someone, and connect yourself to them publicly, you are giving them your heart and soul, and putting your future partly in their hands. If your life is suddenly overcome with drama and stress as a result of your fellow musicians, it is time to move on. Music may be your calling and passion, but if the fun is lost so will the passion. Remember that everything happens for a reason. If something is not meant to be, it is because something else better will come along.
Stop being lazy and push yourself to move beyond once a week practices in your drummers garage.
