The stresses of the holidays are becoming a distant memory as the New Year takes hold. This year like many before offers the chance to bring new change and experience to everyday. There are many little things that can help to foster positive improvements as the year progresses. It all comes down to the little things that make a huge impact. Here are a few to help make 2013 the best year yet.
Smile more – a smile uses fewer facial muscles than it does to frown.
Go outside just to go outside. Take time to look around and appreciate all that nature has to offer.
Laugh – laughter really is the best medicine and does wonders to reducing stress. Make it a big belly laugh whenever possible.
Drink more water – go buy a colorful water bottle and carry water everywhere.
Eat one additional fruit a day – try and find in season fruits to help add new flavors.
Eat two additional vegetables a day – look for rich color and choose from the color spectrum. Remember variety is the spice of life!
Have more sex – this one is a given.
Increase activity – do something active for 30 minutes every day; run, walk, jumping rope or play a sport. Again, variety is the spice of life so mix it up and try different things. Just get out and start moving.
Make it fun – there is no right or wrong way to improve each and every day. Be creative!
Start with simple things every day. Before long it all becomes second nature and the road to health and wellness is in full swing.
