It's the end of summer and the last doggie splash events of the year

This Saturday Wags and Waves will take place at Hawiian Falls in Garland. This is the biggest doggie splash day of the year with more dogs, more events and live music. It all starts at 10 am with Pet Tricks and a costume contest. Let your dog swim with you through the lazy river or surf the wave pool. You and your dog can shop at the doggie mall and explore one of the largest waterparks in the area until 4 pm. The best part is that all proceeds go to many local dog rescue groups.

Hawiian Falls Waterpark is at 4550 North Garland Avenue, just east of the intersection of Shiloh Road and Arapahoe Road in Garland. Tickets are $20 per person and include the admission of two dogs.

On Sunday you can take your dogs to the Bow Wow Pow Wow out at Hawiian Falls in the Colony. This one starts at 1 pm and goes through 5 pm with more contests, vendors and activities. This one is the final doggie splash day of the year and your last chance to take your dog out for a swim.

This Hawiian Falls is at 4400 Paige Road, just north of Highway 121 in the Colony. $12 for one dog and one person and an extra $4 for a second dog and it all goes to benefit the Colony Animal Shelter Injured Dog Fund. Come out this weekend and let your dogs play in the water, and help out some dog rescue groups.
