In Palm Beach County, one in seven adults functions at the lowest level of literacy, meaning that they have difficulty filling out a job application, reading road signs and reading the dosage amount on a prescription bottle. Support for the Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee provides a lifetime of literacy opportunities for thousands of adults, children and families in our community.
