Single people of the world rejoice and unite, Valentine's Day is over for another year! Hopefully those of you that were so inclined took advantage of the leftover candy sales while they lasted. You can never go wrong with the pretty red and pink colors, they can even make you feel better about what you are eating! But thats not the point, the point is that Feb. 14 is a day very far in the distance, and it is nothing to worry about for a very long time.
In this almost whole year that is ahead of you before it comes around again, take the time to learn to embrace the day! It is very possible that all of the single people of the world who wish for someone could find them before next year. Think about that! If that is not a goal that you have set for yourself, that's great. Embrace that, love yourself and take the time to realize that you are all you need! Self-love is a wonderful thing to have, and a powerful emotional tool.
"There is nothing wrong with being single. I love being single." Say this fifty times a day if that is what makes you believe it, because reinforcing is one of the best ways that you will remember it and learn to really, truly believe it about yourself. If this is what you want, be single. It is okay to want this. Or if you are dating someone, then thats great! Single, dating, married: these are all things that you can choose, and it is up to you and no one else which one you pick.
There is a very simple way to look at it--Be Happy. Whether it is alone, with friends, or with a significant other, the main thing is for you to be happy with where you are at and with who you are in your life. That is really all that matters, and in the long run, you are the person that you need to please. Friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, co-workers, pals; they all come and go. Keep yourself happy, and you will be doing yourself and everyone that knows you a big favor.
Valentine's Day is a great day--to be alive! Make it what you want it, and have a great time doing it--thats all that really matters.
